Use oversized floral stencils to create a bold botanical design
If you love the idea of having a garden in bloom all year round, why not try using oversized floral wall stencils to create a bold botanical design? This look is all about creating a dramatic focal point, so we recommend choosing a large expanse of wall and a simple colour palette of two complimentary hues (such as lilac and cream, or charcoal and orange) to really make the design pop.
Wall stencils can be bought in most art shops but you could also try creating your own with acetate or lining paper – if you’re unsure where to start, try looking at fabric patterns and wallpaper for inspiration. For maximum impact, use the same stencil to create a “cluster” effect that extends from floor to ceiling. For added interest, consider using metallic paint or a contrasting colour to highlight certain parts of the design.
To finish off the look, choose coordinating bedding and accessories to complement your bold bedroom look. Think about adding pops of colour in accent pillows, curtains or a rug to pull the design together. And don't forget to take a step back and admire your beautiful, bold bedroom – all achieved with the help of a simple stencil and a bit of creativity!
